Customer's Expectation of Privacy
At Thayer County Bank, our mission is to meet the desires of our

sensitive financial information, we respect the privacy of our
customers and are committed to treating customer information
responsibly. Our Customer Information Privacy Principles serve as
standards for all Thayer County Bank employees for collection, use,
retention, and security of individual customer information. At
Thayer County Bank we believe the confidentiality and protection of
customer information is one of our fundamental responsibilities.
While information is critical to providing quality service, we
recognize that one of our most important assets is our customers’

Maintaining Customer Privacy in
Business Relationships with Third Parties
From time to time Thayer County Bank may
cooperate with an unaffiliated third party to provide information on
new products or services not available directly from Thayer County
Bank. In such an event the Thayer County Bank will not provide any
non-public information to the third party company. If a customer
would desire that the Thayer County Bank not provide this public
information to unaffiliated third party companies they may notify
the bank in writing of this fact.

Restrictions
on the Disclosure of Account Information
We do not reveal specific information about
your accounts or other personally identifiable data to outside
parties for their independent use unless:
- You request or authorize it.
- The information is provided to help
complete a transaction initiated by you as such would be the
case if you choose to utilize a service like Internet Banking.
- The information is provided to a
reputable credit bureau or similar information reporting agency.
- The disclosure otherwise is lawfully
permitted or required.
We do not disclose any nonpublic personal
information about our customers or former customers to anyone,
except as permitted by law or for one of the purposes above.
Customer rights to "opt out"
If at any time in the future the bank
changes its policies and shares nonpublic information about
customers with outside third parties, before doing so we will notify
you of our intent and the notice will contain a telephone number you
can call to opt-out. If you opt-out, no nonpublic information that
comes from your relationship with the bank will be shared with the
third party. Before information is shared, you will be given a
reasonable amount of time to make this opt-out decision, but
thereafter you may also choose to opt-out at any time.
Maintenance of Accurate Information
We continually strive to maintain complete
and accurate information about you and your accounts. Should you
ever believe that our records contain inaccurate or incomplete
information about you, please notify us. We will investigate your
concerns and correct any inaccuracies.
Disclosures Regarding Confidentiality and Security
of Information
At Thayer County Bank, employee access to
personally identifiable customer information is limited to those
with a business reason to know such information. Employees are
educated on the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of
customer information and on these Privacy Principles. Because of the
importance of these issues, all Thayer County Bank employees are
responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of customer
information and employees who violate these Privacy Principles will
be subject to disciplinary measures.
Thayer County Bank is committed to the security of your financial
and personal information. All of our operational and data processing
systems are in a secure environment that protects your account
information from being accessed by third parties. We maintain and
grant access to customer information only in accordance with our
internal security standards.

Information about Former
Customers
Thayer County Bank does not treat
information about former customers any differently than it does
current customers. Specifically, the bank does not release nonpublic
personal information about former customers to outside third
parties.
Our Internet Web Site
Visitors to the Thayer County Bank’s website
remain anonymous. We do not collect personal identifying information
about site users, unless you choose to provide such information to
us. This information is used internally, as appropriate, to handle
the sender’s request and manage the Thayer County Bank’s web site.
It is no disseminated or sold to other organizations.
Internet Banking
We use 128 bit encryption technology to
protect the privacy of personal information supplied to us or
accessed through Thayer County Bank’s online Internet Banking
Service.
Important Terms
- “We”, “us” and “our” means Thayer
County Bank and Thayer County Bank Loan Production Office.
- “Federal Privacy Act” means the privacy
provisions in Title V of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and also
includes the applicable federal privacy regulations issued under
the Act.
- “Customer Information” means our
personally identifiable financial information about a consumer
that is considered “non-public personal information” within the
meaning of the Federal Privacy Act.
- “Outside Parties” or “Outside
Companies” means third parties that are not within Thayer County
Bank, except for joint employees and others who are defined as
non-affiliated third parties under the Federal Privacy Act.
- “Consumer” means an individual who
obtains or has obtained a financial product or service from the
institution that is to be used primarily for personal, family,
or household purposes, or that individual’s legal
representative.
- “Customer” means a consumer who has
established a customer relationship with the institution.

We are an independent financial institution. Perhaps in this day and

sell we will send information or call you. We won’t apologize for
making you aware of our services. However, we will not be flooding
